Me and My Secrets: A Phenomenological Study of Communication Privacy Management of Atheists in the Indonesian Context Regarding Their Identity

Being an Atheist is always unpopular choice in the middle of high religious context society. The stigma and pressure from groups forced Atheists Indonesia to hide their identity public generally when taking care affairs state administration. This research utilized Communication Privacy Management Dramaturgy Theory alongside phenomenology perspective reveal how live "beliefs" not-so-friendly environment. results showed that they presented themselves as front family by pretending practice rituals, contributing special personal branding for families. Meanwhile, other social environments, such friendship, could be freer present were, although still had manage private information about identity.
